Sulfates (SLS, SLES, ALS)
Phthalates
Mineral oil
Gluten
Animal ingredients or by-products
Clean Beauty products (except Color Depositing Treatment tubes) are packaged in bio-based plastic made from 90% sugarcane (excluding caps, closures, and pumps which are made from virgin materials).
Clean Beauty Color Depositing Treatment tubes are made from 95% post-consumer recycled aluminum.
Cartons are made from FSC-certified materials.

In 1983, Paul Mitchell and John Paul DeJoria purchased land in Hawaii that would become the sustainable, solar-powered Awapuhi Farm. The two friends and business partners wanted to pursue a lifestyle that was connected to nature and in tune with their beliefs.
To this day, all of the Awapuhi Wild Ginger used in John Paul Mitchell Systems products is harvested there, and used in the luxury Awapuhi Wild Ginger line of products that restore and transform dry, damaged hair.
Featuring at least 25% PCR* (post-consumer recycled) packaging, and purposefully imperfect, each bottle or tube is unique and may vary slightly in color due to the nature of recycled content.
